Many types of Solvent Based Adhesive, usually can be classified as follows:
① natural adhesive
It is derived from substances in nature. Including starch, protein, dextrin, animal glue, shellac, skin glue, rosin and other biological adhesives; also include asphalt and other mineral adhesives.
② synthetic adhesives
Mainly refers to synthetic materials, including water glass and other inorganic adhesives, and synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and other organic adhesives.
Use characteristic points
① water-soluble adhesives
Water as the solvent binder, there are starch, dextrin, polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose and so on.
② hot-melt adhesives
The adhesive is melted by heating and is used as a solid binder. General thermoplastic resin can be used, such as polyurethane, polystyrene, polyacrylate, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
③ solvent-based adhesives
Do not dissolve in water and soluble in a solvent binder. Such as shellac, butyl rubber.
④ emulsion adhesive
More in the water was suspended, such as vinyl acetate resin, acrylic resin, chlorinated rubber.
⑤ solvent-free liquid adhesive
At room temperature was viscous liquid, such as epoxy resin.
Adhesive is the medium between the label material and the bonding substrate, which acts as a bond. According to its characteristics can be divided into two kinds of permanent and removable. It has a variety of formulations, suitable for different materials and different occasions. Adhesive is the most important component in the technology of adhesive material, and is the key of label application technology.
