Due to low temperatures in winter, the lamination effect may be reduced. In view of this situation, Joya's technical department provides the following recommendations:

1 Temperature Settings

(1) Glossy PET film: Set the glue temperature in the glue tank appropriately higher, recommended at 135-145°C; if the usage is large and a large bucket can be used up within a day, it is recommended to set the pressure plate temperature at 145°C-155°C; by increasing the temperature to reduce glue viscosity, the purpose of reducing coating amount can be achieved, improving material yield; the specific temperature setting should be evaluated on-site for initial tack and suction cup suction;

(2) Textured film: Set the glue tank temperature appropriately lower, recommended at around 115-125°C, while increasing the glue amount; by lowering the temperature to increase glue viscosity, the purpose of improving the initial tack strength of the glue and increasing the coating amount can be achieved, so that the glue can also be coated into the gaps of the textured film, avoiding subsequent bubbling and shrinkage problems caused by insufficient initial tack;

(3) Solid wood boards: Due to the relatively large surface tolerance of solid wood boards, set the glue tank temperature appropriately lower, recommended at around 115-125°C, while increasing the glue amount; by lowering the temperature to increase glue viscosity, the purpose of improving the initial tack strength of the glue and increasing the coating amount can be achieved, avoiding rebound and bubbling problems caused by insufficient initial tack due to large tolerances;

(4) SPC boards, anti-collision boards, and other boards with relatively dense surfaces and more mold release agents: Corona treatment is recommended, especially requiring high-power corona treatment, or primer application;

(5) For films with low dyne values: Corona treatment is recommended, or films with back coating should be selected;

2 Equipment Settings for Flat Lamination Machines

Glue Control Methods

(1) Glue control roller speed adjustment: slower rotation can reduce the coating amount;

(2) Leveling roller: increased rotation speed can reduce the coating amount;

(3) Leveling roller: lowering it can reduce the coating amount, pay attention to controlling the height to avoid being too low, which may cause partial glue shortage on the board;

(4) Speed ratio: adjust the base roller speed and glue application roller speed, appropriately increasing the base roller speed can reduce the glue coating amount, pay attention to controlling the speed difference to avoid excessive speed difference leading to uneven coating and glue shortage;

Pressure Roller

(1) For films with deep textures and boards with relatively large tolerances, it is recommended to increase the pressure roller weight;

Curing Room and Heating Tunnel Applications

(1) When the temperature is below 5°C in winter, it is recommended to place the boards in a curing room for curing;

(2) When the humidity is below 40% in winter, humidification is recommended;

(3) In environments below 10°C in winter, it is recommended to turn on the pre-heating tunnel so that the boards after lamination can reach about 30°C when they come off the machine;

Note:

These usage recommendations are reasonable suggestions provided based on product characteristics. Due to differences in customers' raw materials and production process conditions, adjustments should be made according to actual production situations. Customers are advised to conduct small-scale tests before mass production to determine the usability of the product and process.
