Joya Reminder | Winter Usage Precautions for Joya Oil-based Lamination Adhesive

Due to low winter temperatures, the curing speed of oil-based lamination adhesive at low temperature, surface drying of fabric, and adhesive viscosity will be greatly affected.

In view of this situation, Joyas technical department gives the following suggestions:

01

Entering winter, as temperature decreases, the viscosity of oil-based lamination adhesive will continuously increase. Especially under low temperature conditions, the adhesive viscosity is high, mixing time and material releasing time increase, and adhesive application difficulty increases. When using, adhesive can be prepared in advance.

02

Entering winter, try to use fast-drying thinner matching with oil-based lamination adhesive. Start the lamination machine early for preheating. The lamination large roller temperature needs to be increased (under the premise of minimal impact on fabric color), and add an appropriate amount of accelerant.

03

For laminated fabric products stored in low temperature environments, the curing reaction will become slower than in spring, summer, and autumn seasons, and the required resting time will be longer. Please pay sufficient attention. Suggest customers arrange shipping schedules according to actual situations to avoid fabric lamination products that are not fully cured entering the next process such as hot stamping embossing, cutting and sewing, washing, etc., to avoid unnecessary losses.

Note:

These usage suggestions are rational suggestions based on product characteristics. Due to differences in customers raw materials and production process conditions, adjustments need to be made according to actual production situations. Please conduct small-scale tests before mass production to determine the applicability of products and processes.
