Joya Reminder | Winter Usage Precautions for Joya Solvent-based Lamination Adhesive

During winter, due to the low temperatures, the curing speed, fabric surface drying, and viscosity of solvent-based lamination adhesives will be significantly affected.

In view of this situation, Joya's technical department provides the following recommendations:

01 Your Adhesive Expert - Joya Technology

As winter arrives and temperatures drop, the viscosity of solvent-based lamination adhesives will continuously increase, especially under low-temperature conditions. The high viscosity of the adhesive leads to extended mixing time and dispensing time, making application more difficult. We recommend pre-dispensing and preparing the adhesive in advance before use.

02 Your Adhesive Expert - Joya Technology

During winter, use fast-drying diluents for solvent-based lamination adhesives whenever possible. Pre-heat the laminating machine before starting, increase the temperature of the main composite roller (under the premise of minimal impact on fabric color), and add an appropriate amount of accelerator.

03 Your Adhesive Expert - Joya Technology

When laminated fabric products are stored in low-temperature environments, the curing reaction will be slower compared to spring, summer, and autumn seasons, requiring longer standing time. Customers should pay sufficient attention to this. We recommend that customers arrange the shipping schedule according to actual conditions to avoid incompletely cured laminated fabric products entering the next process, such as heat pressing and embossing, cutting and sewing, or water washing, to prevent unnecessary losses.
